An Environmentally Friendly Turf Grass

Saves Water • Drought Tolerant

Use Salt to Kill Weeds • Less Fertilizer

Seashore Paspalum is a family of Environmentally Friendly, Drought Tolerant, Salt Tolerant Turf Grasses that may be used for

Golf Courses, Sports Fields and Lawns.

Characteristics include: low water use; good drought tolerance; the ability to be irrigated with nearly any water source; low fertilizer requirements; salt tolerance so high that salt can be used to kill weeds and salt water may be used for irrigation when maintained properly. But Seashore Paspalum is not for everyone. Fungus and insect pressures, especially in humid climates, make this grass a better choice for turf professionals than for the casual gardener. Still, its benefits often far outweigh its challenges. Golfers report shooting lower scores because pasaplum greens have virtually no grain making a truer putting surface and the ball sits up in paspalum fairways making for easier second shots. Most golf course superintendents using it today say they’d never go back to Bermudagrass if given the choice...
